Terms of Service

By accessing or using Zenkona, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Operator

Zenkona is operated by Shandre Lourens (Zenkona), based in South Africa.

2. Service description

Zenkona provides renewal and obligation tracking with email reminders, team collaboration, and optional auto-detection of domain and SSL expiry dates. Auto-detected dates are provided on a best-effort basis and must be verified before making renewal decisions.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

4. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate registration information.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must not share credentials or allow unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or pose security risks.

5. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed via Paystack on a recurring basis until cancelled.
  • Prices are displayed in USD estimates; charges are processed in ZAR via Paystack.
  • Refunds follow our Refund Policy: 7 days for monthly plans and 14 days for annual plans. After that, fees are non-refundable except where required by law or upon indefinite service discontinuation (pro-rata).
  • We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
  • Cancelling stops future charges; access continues until the end of the paid period.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for unlawful purposes.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or other users' data.
  • Upload malicious files or abuse auto-detect features for scanning third-party systems without authorization.
  • Resell or sublicense the service without written permission.

7. Intellectual property

Zenkona, its branding, code, and design are owned by Shandre Lourens. You retain ownership of data you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host and process your data solely to provide the service.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free auto-detection, or that reminders will prevent missed renewals. You remain solely responsible for critical renewal deadlines.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ZAR 1,000, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages including lost revenue, downtime, or penalty fees from missed renewals.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends and we will delete your data per our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
